What is Compute?
A VM with dedicated vCPU on servers in the Netherlands, also called a VPS or cloud server.
What does dedicated vCPU mean?
Your VM’s vCPUs are reserved for you and never shared with other machines.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, under Resize in the console. Bigger: the difference by the day to the end of the month. Smaller: the lower price from the next month.
None of the plans fit?
Choose a custom size: 8–64 vCPU and 8–128 GB memory, priced per part.
Which operating systems can I use?
An image from the console, your own image or your own ISO. Windows Server: €15.00 per month extra, excl. VAT.
Does my VM get an IPv4 address?
Every VM has its own IPv6 /64. A dedicated IPv4 address costs €4.00 per month, while stock lasts. Without IPv4, services that only have IPv4, such as GitHub, are out of reach.
Can I send mail from my VM?
Outbound mail (port 25) is closed for new accounts. It is opened on request.
